Most Americans can't afford to strike. Here's how you can keep working & still join in the general strike.

Want to support the May 1 strike, but can't gamble with work? Here's how to join in!

You Want to Strike But Can’t Risk Your Job? Good News: You Still Hold a LOT of Power!

A General Strike is much easier to join in that most people think! You don’t need a picket sign to fight back.

Here’s why - Worker power is in the numbers:

The simultaneous part is key — if we all agree to start strike actions around any specific date, our economic disruption will amplify greatly.

They expect dramatic protests on Saturdays. You know what they don’t expect? Millions of small acts of disobedience during work hours.

The “Quiet Striking” Playbook (Pick Your Level)

Level 1: Soft Disruption & Amplification

Starve the beast – Don’t spend a dime on May 1 and for as many days after as you can. Cancel deliveries, cook at home. Cancel as many subscription services as you can.
Talk to at least one coworker – Start planting the seeds for annual action: “What if we all called in sick every May 1?”
Talk to at least one IRL neighbor - “Have you heard about May 1, the original Labor Day? Millions of union members are trying to bring it back!”
Digital amplification – Post on social media about strike and labor rights messaging.

Level 2: Workplace Guerrilla Tactics & Quiet Quitting

🛑 “Work-to-rule” – Do the bare minimum. Take ALL your breaks. Do not work overtime or at least no free overtime.
🛑 Sick-Out – Coordinate “food poisoning/flu/vomiting/fever/hacking cough” with coworkers. Bosses can’t prove it’s a strike. “Sickouts” by flight attendants have grounded entire airlines.
🛑 Silent slowdown – Drag your feet. Malfunction. Be aggressively inefficient. Drop calls. That email can wait til tomorrow.

Level 3: Strike Support

Be the supply line – Donate cash, food, diapers, household supplies to any strikers you know or mutual aid networks you are plugged into.
Document the struggle. - Bring pressure upon the owner class. Document the strikers’ demands.
Never cross a picket line! - That’s rule 1 of supporting any strike - Don’t be a scab!

The Goal: Every May 1 weakens their grip

2025: Disrupt something. Anything. Spread awareness.
2026: Organize your workplace.
2027: Massive mutual strike aid networks in place.
2028: General strike.
